Download and Installation
This section describes the prerequisites and the download instructions you should know before installing the software. If the vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager VA is not connected to Internet, you can download this patch by going to the VMware Patch Download Center and selectvRealize Suite Lifecycle Managerfrom theSearch by Productdrop-down menu.
When vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager VA is not connected to Internet.
- Verify that you have taken a snapshot of vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager VA.
- Log in to vRealize Lifecycle Manager VA.
- On the Lifecycle Operations dashboard, navigate to Settings > Binary Mapping and click Patch Binaries.

Click UPLOAD and click SELECT FILE to upload the vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager version 8.1 Patch 1 downloaded from VMware Patch Download Center.
- Once you upload the patch, navigate to Settings > System Patches.
- Click NEW PATCH, select the patch, and click NEXT.
- To install the patch, click INSTALL. Once the patch install is triggered successfully, vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager services are restarted and you are redirected to vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager UI login page.
Note: To verify your new patch, on the Lifecycle Operations dashboard navigate to Settings > System Patches, and check Patch Details.
If the vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager VA is connected to Internet, follow the instruction below.
- Verify that you have taken a snapshot of vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager VA.
- Log in to vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager VA.
- On the Lifecycle Operations dashboard, navigate to Settings > Binary Mapping and click Patch Binaries.
- Click CHECK PATCHES ONLINE and once the request is complete, search vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager 8.1 patch and download the patch.
- Once you have downloaded the patch, navigate to Settings > System Patches.
- Click NEW PATCH, select the patch, and click NEXT.
- To install the patch, click INSTALL. Once the patch install is triggered successfully, vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager services are restarted and you are redirected to vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager UI login page.
Note: To verify your new patch, on the Lifecycle Operations dashboard navigate to Settings >System Patches, and check Patch Details.
